Hi guys, new to this forum. Just bought a new 2015 4Runner limited and hoping to update my already out of date US map 09/2014) and was shocked to learn that here in Montreal, dealer update is close to $450.00 CND.

I would be concerned with the fact that you have US and not Canada maps! I am in the same boat with 2015 mag grey limited. Arrived with US maps installed. You can use them but the maps are limited to main roads only.

I have not updated mine yet but it should be a free update to Canada maps. Check the map coverage on your unit and you will see the limitations. Anyone purchase one of these CD Navigation upgrades off eBay?

I'm going to preface this by saying that no, I have not tried these. That being said. My guess is that this wouldn't work. Well, I guess it depends on which stereo you have. I have the middle level Entune stereo ( - the one called 'Entune Premium Audio') and it does not recognize any DVD discs that I have tried in the system. This includes traditional DVD movies, burned audio, etc. From the link you sent, my guess is that it won't read that, either.
